Early detection of Atrial Fibrillation

Lea Valley Health Ltd have recognised the early importance of early detection of atrial fibrillation (AF) cases and the prevention of stroke so have launched an early detection pathway within the Lower Lea Valley community.

They are pleased to be working alongside the Eastern Academic Science Health network (EASHN), Pfizer, and East and North Herts CCG.

Lea Valley Health Ltd have obtained funding through Eastern Academic Health Science Network (EAHSN) to work alongside the team at MyCognition to run a trial initiative to issue patients registered within the locality who are living with one or more long time conditions, free access to a cognitive health app.

By taking a cognitive assessment and undertaking regular training the app aims to improve
cognitive health, which in turn could help patients living with these conditions deal with
certain aspects of their illness more effectively.
